What is your name and where do you come from?
Laurel Davis-Lyons and I am from Milton Keynes, which I am very protective of if people make jokes about!
What is your favourite thing about PR?
Working with brilliant, intelligent, creative and fun people!
What has been the lowlight of your working life?
Mistakenly wearing heels to my first ever Mobile World Congress. I was stopped in the street by a Spanish man after the show telling me I was leaving a trail of blood behind me from my bleeding feet I could no longer feel.
What has been the highlight of your working life?
A piece I ghost wrote for a client was used verbatim in the opinion section of The Times…I liked showing my parents that one!
What apps do you use and why?
Too many! I would be lost without GMail, Google Hangouts, WhatsApp, CityMapper and Spotify which I use daily. I’m trying to get the hang of IFTTT (If This Then That), I’m pretty sure it will change my life if I put in the initial leg work!
What are your hobbies outside of work?
Eating, cooking, reading about food, talking about food, planning restaurants I want to go to…
Name one food you can’t resist?
Anything with egg, chorizo, chillies…or all three.
Tell us your favourite film, TV show and album? And why?
This is so hard! Film probably High Fidelity, I love Nick Hornby! TV Show probably House of Cards, it’s so good and crazy how much you end up rooting for Underwood even though he’s so horrible. Album is too hard…my all time favourite song is Waterloo Sunset by The Kinks though.
If you could have one superpower what would it be?
Eidetic Memory, you could be or do pretty much whatever you wanted if you could remember anything you ever saw or read!
