Manchester Tech Week- What to expect from the North’s largest digital transformation event!

Calling all tech fans – there’s now one month to go until the launch of Manchester Tech Week 2022!

The Jargon PR team cannot wait to attend this giant tech event, which will connect over 7,500 attendees and 200 speakers. For anyone wanting to know what  Manchester Tech Week is all about, we’ve got you covered. Here, we take a look at everything you need to know before the week begins.

With that said… What exactly is Manchester Tech Week?

Manchester Tech Week is the North’s biggest digital transformation event, taking place between the 25-29th of April 2022. The event joins IT leaders from some of the most recognised British brands, and looks at providing intel on how to improve connectivity whilst showcasing cutting-edge enterprise technologies.

What can you expect to see?

Manchester Tech Week is anchored by 3 core events, Digital Transformation Expo, Unified Communications Expo and Connected North.

Connected North (25-26 April) is set to kick off the week in style. With 80 speakers and over 500 attendees, Connected North will set the scene  with a deep dive into how we can go about enabling the North’s connected future. On day one of this event, attendees will be welcomed to a keynote mayoral panel which will discuss Greater Manchester’s approach to levelling up of digital infrastructure to aid significant competitiveness and encourage investments in the region.

Hot on its heels, Digital Transformation EXPO (27-28 April) is the perfect place for those looking to progress in their business’ digital transformation, offering expert advice on how to make this process stress free. The long running event gives business leaders advice on the key technologies that they should be prioritising NOW, identifying the biggest challenges and opportunities that IT teams are facing at the moment. This year, DTX will have an opening keynote delivered by the footballing legend, Gary Neville, who will be delving into the topic of mental resilience, team strategy and data-driven decision making.

Its co-event, Unified Communications EXPO (UCX) (27-28 April) will hone in on the future of work, the evolution of enterprise communication and how technologies for hybrid working are moving the needle at pace.  UCX offers guidance into new approaches to enterprise communications and sessions will offer essential advice and best practice to businesses no matter where they are in their UC strategy.

If that isn’t enough, Manchester Tech Week will also be packed with a plethora of fringe events held by the week’s partners. Some of the events that we are most excited for include:

– On the 27th of April, Manchester Digital, The Beer Farmers and H.O.S.T, will deliver a presentation on ‘Addressing the Skill Gaps in Tech”. This session identifies how Manchester businesses can streamline their productivity, demolishing organisational skill gaps through utilising the region’s diverse pool of talent.

– promanchester hosts its annual retail lunch on the 26th of April in the Clayton hotel, in an event which unpacks the issues that the retail industry faced over the past 2 years following both Brexit and the pandemic, and the technologies that will power the future of the industry.

As a hotspot for business transformation, Manchester Tech Week will be the perfect place for  tech professionals to connect with peers and across a host of sectors.  Special networking events include: Artificial Intelligence hosted by AI Tech, Cyber Security hosted by Cyber House Party, and the bringing together of DevOps meetup Groups from around the North!
