Jargon PR launches Sustainability Pledge

To celebrate World Environment Day on 5th June we proud to announce our pledge to plant 5,000 trees within the next 18 months through a new partnership with Ecologi, a world-leading carbon offsetting charity.

We will subscribe every agency client to the Ecologi carbon offsetting program which will plant 12 trees per month for every Jargon PR client, significantly reducing carbon pollution.

The initiative will aim to plant between 300-400 trees every month and will remove roughly 33 tonnes of carbon dioxide from the environment each month, the equivalent of 80,000 miles driven by car.

Sustainability is at the forefront of our values and we’ve already banned single-use plastic from the office, every team member is also given a personalised reusable water bottle. We also work with MyClimate.org to offset all the flight travel conducted by our CEO, Simon Corbett.

We’re incredibly proud to launch the Jargon PR sustainability pledge on World Environment Day,” said Simon Corbett, CEO at Jargon PR. “Driving awareness and action for the protection of the environment is hugely important, we’re determined to play our part in reducing carbon pollution and lowering the carbon footprint of tech.”

Ecologi works with climate projects around the world to plant trees and reduce the carbon in our atmosphere. Its tree planting partner, The Eden Reforestation Projects, plant millions of trees around the world. Ecologi is currently supporting its reforestation work in Madagascar.

We will track our sustainability progress regularly, and provide clients and employees with monthly updates to show how many trees have been planted through Ecologi, as well as the positive impact this has had on the environment.
