Jargon PR supports PerformanceIn as Media Sponsors of PI LIVE 2019
This year, Jargon PR was the proud media sponsor of PerformanceIn Live and Influencer Marketing Show. Taking place last week at Old Billingsgate in London, the two-day show featured talks from the likes of Lucozade, Google and Clarins, with exhibitors including Groupon and RedBrain.
Covering a breadth of topics including affiliate marketing, retail strategies, Artificial Intelligence, Influencer Marketing and more, we had the chance to attend a number of the talks at the show. One of the most insightful talks was a panel with Sri Sharma, CEO of Increasingly, Simon Bird, Co-Founder and CEO of RevLifter, Emma Bowkett, President of Convertr Inc and Mark Smith, CEO of Adhoc Media, who discussed their knowledge and experience of starting a business, and what they’ve learned along the way.
We also had the chance to listen to MSL UK’s talk about the perceptions of influencers and how we can improve on this image, as well as the key aspects of running an influencer marketing campaign. It was great to learn about what audiences think about this emerging marketing tactic and how we can begin to overcome the seemingly negative perceptions of influencers.
In our role as a media partner, our primary activity included media outreach. We implemented a campaign throughout this year’s event which included full event support and press relations for speaking and exhibiting companies.
One of our highlights from the show was the Digital Disruptors Final, a Dragons’ Den style format, which supports and nurtures the next generation of digital pioneers. At the show, four teams of young adults aged 15-17 pitched their ideas for social or video channels with a purpose and/or a message behind them to a panel of judges from the industry. It was great to hear such inspiring ideas from a group of keen young people, and gain an insight into the next generation of professionals.
We’re proud to be part of such a relevant and successful show, and support PI LIVE as media partners. This year was the most popular year yet for the show, with tickets selling out, and it’s no secret that the influencer marketing industry, in particular, has exploded within recent years. We look forward to seeing the progression and growth of this industry event, as well as the advancements within performance marketing over the next 12 months.
