ad:tech New York

Jargon PR Managing Director, Simon Corbett gives his thoughts on some of the exciting technology he saw at ad:tech New York.

Last week I attended ad:tech in New York. The event is designed to bring together the marketing, technology and creative community for two days of networking, learning and fun.

During the show I saw a variety of keynote presentations and met with a handful of creative and entrepreneurial tech businesses including Vipeline, Go2Mobi, Idea Rocket Animation and ClickBakers.

One of the most exciting tech companies I met with was Flixel, a Canadian based technology business that brings photos to life by adding movement (cinemagraphs) to aid visual storytelling.

The company gained significant traction when international model Tyra Banks used the technology within her show, America’s Next Top Model. The following year she invested in the company and has never looked back. In 2014, Flixel was chosen as Digital Company of the Year at Canada’s Digi Awards.

To date hundreds of photographers, videographers, and marketers have used Flixel’s Cinemagraph technology to create engaging living photos.

PR agencies are always asked for engaging and creative images from the press to help tell a story and bring an article to life. Flixel produce an exciting technology that can help agencies take brand storytelling forwards.
