Jargon PR’s 2014 Highlights
2014 has been a great year for Jargon PR. We’ve started working with some exciting new clients, run successful and innovative campaigns, and said hello to some great new people. As we look towards next year each of the Jargon family has shared their highlight of 2014.

One of the most impactful pieces of work we did this year was for our client Affectv. After meeting with the publication we secured a slot for Affectv in Wired’s 100 Hottest European Start Ups, which was a real coup for them.
Laurel Davis-Lyons
This year we had the opportunity to inspire and connect people with parliamentary democracy by working with the Parliament Week awareness campaign. In the run up to, during and post the week we secured 167 pieces of coverage in outlets including BBC, Buzzfeed, Cosmopolitan, The Londonist and Huffington Post. It was a great feeling knowing that we managed to engage so many young people with the awareness week!

My highlight for this year was some work I did for our client AgilOne. We initially helped to design and commission a consumer survey in order to achieve some great results in the retail trade press to support their key business objectives. I have a contact at The Times Business Desk and managed to secure a piece of coverage in both print and online for the survey, which we were delighted with.

We work with the phonebox millionaire Stephen Fear and this year we secured some incredible coverage in the UK business press, including front pages in Talk Business and New Business. Getting a front page is no easy feat so I’m really proud to have done that for him.

I moved into the world of Tech PR this year and it has been an incredible experience so far. I’ve had the chance to work with some truly exciting clients – companies like Rockpool Digital and Croud are paving the way in their respective fields and it’s a genuine pleasure for me to be part of their journey.
Emma Taylor
I joined the team this year and in my first few months achieved my first piece of national coverage. I spotted an opportunity for our client Boompods and pitched their range of speakers to our contact at the publication. They included a review of the product, as well as a competition for the publication’s readers to win one. I was really proud of that!

The best bit of the year for me was representing Jargon PR at CeBit in Germany. It was a great experience to help raise awareness for the company in Germany and at the event we spoke to some really exciting tech companies.

For me personally, the overall deliverables by the team on all of our accounts has been a highlight. The dedication each and every one of our team has shown is brilliant and it’s been fantastic to watch them grow in confidence and ability. We’re looking forward to another successful year of growth and will have even more highlights in 2015!
