What is your name and where do you come from?
Hi I’m Becky and I grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere in Devon, before moving to London for university around five years ago.
What is your favourite thing about PR?
I love that everyday is completely different, you could be doing something quite routine and then all of a sudden it’s all systems go with breaking news from one of your clients. It’s never boring that’s for sure!
What has been the lowlight of your working life?
Would probably have to be the Saturday job I had when I was growing up. I worked for a livery yard and every Saturday at 6am, come rain or shine, I had to muck out 30+ stables! I was paid about £3.50 an hour and still have scars on my hands to this day.
What has been the highlight of your working life?
Traveling to Berlin with Jargon PR clients for IFA, great show and a great city!
What apps do you use and why?
Uber – Gamechanger, I wish this app had been around when I first moved to London, I could have saved myself many drunken night buses.
Citymapper, if you live in London you need it!
Headspace – It’s a great way of fitting meditation into a busy lifestyle!
What are your hobbies outside of work?
Yoga, meditation and then ruining all my efforts by drinking far too much!
Name one food you can’t resist?
The whole Dishoom menu..
Tell us your favourite film, TV show and album? And why?
Film – Parent Trap…childhood classic!
TV show – Breaking Bad and Suits – mainly due to my borderline obsession with Harvey Specter!
Album – Tough choice there are so many, but I’m loving Hozier at present.
If you could have one superpower what would it be?
I wish I could teleport, I’d never miss a thing and I could be sunning myself on a deserted beach in an instant.
